The Rhino-Rack Backbone Mounting System RJKB1 is an internal support structure for the hard top Jeep JK Wrangler, built to carry heavier roof loads. Rated to 120 kg, 16 kg of its own, it is the base for a 2-bar, a 3-bar or a Pioneer Platform setup. Shipped from Warsaw, fitted in our own workshop.

The roof of a Wrangler JK is not made to carry a heavy rack on its own – the hard top sits on a handful of points and will not take expedition loads. The Backbone solves that from the inside: an internal support frame fitted inside the hard top picks up the load and carries it out to mounting plates on both sides of the roof. Bars or a platform then go on top of that.
