You add a light and the real work turns out to be pulling a switch wire into the cab. This harness solves that: the relay stays by the battery and you switch the lights with a remote that works from 60-80 m. Two outputs, 300 W of load and six flash patterns, so an ordinary work light can double as an attention light.

Fitting a work light rarely stalls on the light itself. It stalls on the switch wire that has to go through the bulkhead, and on finding somewhere in the dash for the switch. This harness skips that stage: the relay stays by the battery and the controls live on a remote the size of a key fob.
Two outputs take one or two lights up to 300 W in total. Besides plain on and off, the remote offers six flash patterns, so a light with no strobe function of its own starts working as an attention light - with no extra flasher relay.

The supply lead with its 25 A fuse goes straight to the battery - it is 50 cm long, so the relay module mounts right next to it. Two 300 cm output leads come out of the other side, ending in Abiko connectors that plug into the light wiring. The four spare flat connectors are there for lights with different terminals.
The remote works from 60-80 m and runs on a CR2032 battery. Both the module and the remote are IP65 rated, so the module can stay in the engine bay - just keep it out of the spray thrown up by a wheel.
If you would rather not do it yourself, we can route the harness and connect the lights in the workshop.
For anyone adding a work light to an off-road vehicle, a quad, a trailer or a machine who does not want to pull a switch wire into the cab. It also suits cases where the light has to be switched from outside the vehicle - working around a machine or setting up camp.
Check the total wattage of your lights - the harness carries 300 W. A heavier set needs a separate relay or a split across two harnesses. Remember too that the ability to flash does not turn a work light into a road-legal warning light - that is decided by the rules on emergency and special-purpose vehicles.
Does the harness only fit Purelux lights?
No. The manufacturer states plainly that the kit also suits other brands - what matters is the system voltage and the load.
How many lights can I run, and at what power?
One or two, up to 300 W in total. The circuit is protected by the 25 A fuse supplied with the harness.
Will it work on a 24 V system?
Yes, the supply range is 10-30 V DC, so both 12 V and 24 V are within spec.
How do I switch to a flash pattern?
With the button on the remote. The six patterns cycle with each press, and you do it with the lights on, so you can see which one is active.
Where should the relay module go?
The battery lead is 50 cm and the lead to the light is 300 cm, so the module stays by the battery. It is IP65 rated, but it is still worth mounting it out of the spray thrown up by a wheel.
Can I use the flashing mode on public roads?
Whether a vehicle may use a warning light, and in which colour, is decided by the rules on emergency and special-purpose vehicles. The harness itself does not give a light that status.
