TRW Synthetic Brake Fluid DOT 4 is used in the brake systems and hydraulic clutch systems of passenger cars, trucks, buses, trailers, and motorcycles. It is recommended for all types of medium-duty disc and drum brake systems, except for those where the manufacturer specifies the use of mineral-based fluids. The product is manufactured in compliance with FMVSS 166 DOT 4, DOT 3, SAE J1703, ISO 4925, and JIS K2233 standards.

TRW recommends replacing the brake fluid every 2 years. Following the manufacturer’s guidelines helps to avoid costly repairs and ensures high driving safety. Moisture absorption changes the thermal expansion and boiling point of the brake fluid, which can reduce the efficiency of the braking system and consequently increase the risk of an accident.
