The OSRAM ROADsight 1500 is a compact in-car camera designed to record everyday journeys. It captures 1080p video at 30 FPS and provides a 110° field of view, giving useful coverage of the road ahead without requiring a large device on the windscreen. A built-in 2-inch screen makes positioning and menu operation straightforward.
ROADsight 1500 records at 1080p and 30 frames per second. Its 110° field of view captures a broad section of the road ahead. Loop recording can be set to 1, 3 or 5-minute segments, allowing the memory card to be reused continuously without manually deleting every older recording.
The built-in G-sensor detects an impact and can protect the associated video file. The current recording can also be locked manually using the camera controls.
OSRAM confirms a Parking Guard function in the device menu. A hardwire kit is not included with the standard package. If permanent power while parked is required, compatibility with an appropriate power solution should be confirmed before installation.
The camera supports C10-rated microSD cards with a maximum capacity of 32 GB. OSRAM recommends formatting the card before use and switching the camera off before removing it. A memory card is not listed as part of the standard package.
The current product data sheet specifies dimensions of 69 × 47 × 35 mm. The adjustable suction mount allows the camera to be positioned on the windscreen. OSRAM recommends mounting it close to the centre of the windscreen behind the rear-view mirror, provided the driver's field of vision remains unobstructed.
The camera must not obstruct the driver's view or be positioned in an airbag deployment area. The power cable should also be routed so that it does not interfere with vehicle controls.
The dash cam is powered through its USB-C port using the supplied in-car charger. According to the user instructions, it can automatically power on and begin recording when the vehicle is started, save the current recording when the vehicle is switched off and then shut down.
