Reading a locker listing
Each product name gives the RD number, the vehicle or axle, the axle shaft spline count (e.g. 30 SPL) and the ratio range (e.g. 3.73 and up or 4.10 and down). The ratio range matters because on some axles the ring gear for higher and lower ratios mounts on a different carrier. An ARB Air Locker needs a compressor and solenoid to work – the compressor kit with switch is sold separately. Installation involves setting backlash and bearing preload, so it is sensible to combine it with a regear.
Compressors are in Locker compressors, and gear sets in Ring and pinion sets.
