Video recording
The ROADsight 3500 records through its front camera at 1296p and 30 fps. Its 140° viewing angle captures a broad area ahead of the vehicle. HDR helps the camera handle scenes containing both brighter and darker areas, while loop recording allows continued use of available memory.
GPS and G-sensor
Integrated GPS can store location and vehicle speed data alongside the journey recording. The G-sensor detects an incident and protects the relevant file from normal loop-recording overwrite, helping preserve important footage.
Parking mode and time-lapse
The ROADsight 3500 supports parking mode and time-lapse when used with the separately available OSRAM ROADsight Hard Wire Kit 3500 OHWK3500. The hardwire kit is not supplied with the standard dash cam package. Current OSRAM documentation states that parking mode can automatically record for up to 30 seconds when an event is detected.
12/24 V vehicle compatibility and installation
The dash cam is suitable for 12/24 V vehicle electrical systems and uses a USB-C connection. It mounts to the windscreen using a 3M adhesive fitting. Installation should maintain a clear field of view for the driver and the cable should be routed so that it does not interfere with vehicle controls.
Memory card
The camera supports microSD cards up to 128 GB. OSRAM specifies a Class 10 card and recommends formatting the card before use. A memory card is not included in the standard package.
