Rear light with brake-light function
The rear unit provides Steady and Automatic modes. OSRAM's instructions also identify an integrated brake-light function, adding a signalling feature to the rear lighting unit.
StVZO approval and road use
OSRAM states that the product is tested and approved under German StVZO requirements for road use in Germany. This should not be presented as a separate Polish road homologation. When the product is used in Poland, the complete bicycle and installation must comply with applicable Polish bicycle-lighting requirements.
Polish regulations require, among other equipment, a white or selective-yellow front position light, a red rear position light and a separate non-triangular red rear reflector. The product documentation does not confirm that this set replaces the required rear reflector, so the bicycle should retain a compliant reflector.
Mounting
The front mount is designed for handlebars from 22.2 to 35.0 mm in diameter. The OSRAM instructions show fitting options for 22.2, 25.4, 31.8 and 35.0 mm diameters. The manufacturer also describes the bracket as Garmin-compatible. The lights should be securely installed and aimed so that they do not dazzle other road users.
Charging and battery care
