OSRAM LEDsBIKE EXPLORER X 1000 SET combines a rechargeable front light with a matching rear light. The front unit delivers up to 1,000 lm and offers several output modes, allowing the rider to balance illumination and battery runtime depending on the route. The rear light adds automatic and flashing modes together with an integrated brake-light function.

Front-light performance
The maximum specified luminous flux is 1,000 lm with a colour temperature of 6,200 K and a cold-white light colour. Available settings are High 100%, Low 50%, Eco 25%, Automatic and Flash. OSRAM does not specify a beam angle, 1-lux range or a Spot, Flood or Combo classification for this model, so these values should not be assumed.
Modes and battery runtime
The front light operates for approximately 2 hours in High, 5 hours in Low and 10 hours in Eco. The rear light is specified for up to 17 hours in Steady mode and up to 33 hours in Flash mode. Runtime figures for the Automatic modes and front Flash mode are not published in the product data sheet.
The front light includes a battery indicator and memory function for the previous setting. The rear light offers Steady, Automatic and Flash modes; the user instructions show the brake-light function working with the normal ON and Automatic modes.
Charging
The set uses lithium-ion batteries with a nominal voltage of 3.7 V and charges via USB-C. Charging takes approximately 3 hours for the front light and 2 hours for the rear light. The instructions show a USB-A to USB-C charging cable. This is a rechargeable bicycle-light system and should not be classified as a 12/24 V automotive light.
Mounting
The front mount is Garmin-compatible. The instructions specify handlebar fittings for 22.2, 25.4, 31.8 and 35.0 mm diameters, with a maximum tightening torque of 2 Nm. The rear light mounts to the seatpost.
OSRAM's instructions show a front-light installation height of approximately 400–1,200 mm and a rear-light height of 250–1,200 mm above the road surface.
Road use
OSRAM explicitly states that LEDsBIKE EXPLORER X 1000 SET is not approved for use under the German StVZO regulations. This does not by itself determine its legal status in Poland.
Polish bicycle regulations require, among other things, a white or selective-yellow front position light and a red rear position light. A separate non-triangular red reflector is also required on the bicycle. Flashing position lights are permitted. Road use therefore depends on correct installation, visibility and aiming so that the light does not dazzle other road users. OSRAM does not publish a 150-metre visibility compliance value for this model, so an unconditional claim of Polish road approval should not be made.
Protection and construction
The product is specified to IP54. OSRAM also lists an aluminium housing and transparent acrylic lens in the product description. Because the manufacturer does not separately specify the material of the rear-light housing, that construction claim should not be extended to every component of the set.
