Mounting
The front-light mount is Garmin-compatible and supports handlebars measuring 22.2 mm, 25.4 mm, 31.8 mm or 35 mm in diameter. The light can be released from the bracket without removing the handlebar clamp. The rear light uses a flexible strap mounting system.
Road use
OSRAM states that the LEDsBIKE EXPLORER X 500 SET is not approved for use within the scope of the German StVZO regulations. This is a German-market restriction and should not be presented as a universal prohibition on public-road use.
For use in Poland, the complete bicycle must comply with Polish lighting requirements. These include a white or selective-yellow front position light, a red rear position light and a separate non-triangular red rear reflector. Flashing bicycle position lights are permitted, but the lighting must be correctly positioned and must not dazzle other road users.
Important: the light set does not replace the mandatory rear red reflector required on the bicycle.
Construction and charging
OSRAM specifies an aluminium housing and a transparent acrylic lens, together with an IP54 protection rating. The integrated lithium-ion batteries operate at a nominal 3.7 V, so the product is a self-contained bicycle lighting system and does not require a 12/24 V vehicle electrical system, relay or automotive wiring harness.
