MetalCloak ball joints consist of a chrome spindle and a ball with an induction-hardened surface that is wear-resistant and provides a maximized bearing surface to distribute force loads; this material offers excellent energy absorption capability without cracking compared to inferior materials.

The composite bearing sleeve slides on the spindle to transfer shock loads and is the most resistant to deformation. Both the ball and the pin are load-bearing and utilize metal-on-metal strength, captured by tool steel ring retainers that eliminate memory and are durable.

Both upper and lower ball joints are adjustable for pre-load tension, have recessed Zerk fittings for servicing, and are sealed with multiple Buna-N rubber O-rings along with shaft wiper seals to keep contaminants out and grease in.
