MetalCloak Jeep JL Wrangler 2.5” Game-Changer Suspension System (No Shock Edition) is a complete mid-arm suspension system built around True Dual Rate coils, Duroflex (Kevlar-enhanced) adjustable control arms, Durotrak track bars and height-adjustable bump stops. Shocks are not included, so the customer can choose damping to match their build, while keeping the core geometry and travel advantages of the kit.
MetalCloak Jeep JL Wrangler 2.5” Game-Changer Suspension System (No Shock Edition) – compatibility: Jeep JL Wrangler
The 2.5” Game-Changer for the Jeep JL Wrangler is a mid-arm suspension system designed to maximize both UP-travel and DOWN-travel while keeping the axle centered and the Jeep stable on-road. The kit combines MetalCloak’s Kevlar-enhanced Duroflex joints, True Dual Rate coils, Durotrak track bars and height-adjustable bump stops into one matched system.
This is the No Shock Edition (no shocks included). It’s intended for builds where the customer wants to select shocks separately—by budget, use case and vehicle weight—while still installing the full suspension foundation: coils, control arms, track bars, isolators and bump stop system.

Who it’s for / use cases
Jeep JL Wrangler owners who want a complete 2.5” suspension foundation with adjustable arms, centered axle control and long-travel focus.
Builds where shocks are selected separately (daily driver + weekend trails, overland weight, rock crawling priorities, etc.).
Drivers who want reduced NVH and stable steering feel from track bar bushing design while retaining articulation off-road.
Installation / notes (from the product page)
Installation difficulty: Moderate.
Body modification: None.
Estimated time: 6–8 hours.
Driveshaft note: due to the long travel provided, factory driveshafts can contact OEM components and wear quickly at extreme articulation; an aftermarket driveshaft is indicated on the product page.
Alignment note: the product page recommends a suspension specialist alignment after installation.
Coil note: the product page states MetalCloak does not recommend powder coating True Dual Rate coils.
Diesel note: the product page states stock wheel backspacing will not work with the Diesel JL Wrangler.
System policy notes on the product page: offered as a complete system; components are not customizable/removable from the kit, and partial returns are not accepted.
Outboard shock mount note: the product page states OE wheels require 2” spacers for proper clearance; mounts are intended for wheels with 4.5” backspacing or less (or equivalent spacer).

A 2.5-inch lift is the optimal choice — it allows for fitting larger tires while maintaining ride comfort. Springs starting from 3.5 inches are stiffer to support the vehicle’s height. Unfortunately, this stiffness limits overall comfort, even with high-quality shocks.
